We had so much fun in music class last week singing and dancing to Halloween tunes! The preschool kids did an amazing job singing Halloween songs for the residents of the Allison and Bradley Houses. I was really proud of them! This week we will be learning songs about transportation and playing some fun music games too.

Our Songs for This Week:
"The Wheels on the Bus"
The wheels on the bus go round and round
Round and round
Round and round
The wheels on the bus go round and round
All through the town.
The rain on the windshield goes drip, drip, drip…
The wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish…
The door on the bus goes open and shut…
The driver on the bus says “Move on back”…
The people on the bus go up and down…
The baby on the bus goes wah, wah, wah…
The mommy on the bus goes shh, shh, shh…
The horn on the bus goes beep, beep, beep…
“Traffic Light” (Tune: London Bridges)
Can you see the traffic light,
traffic light, traffic light?
Green means Go and Yellow means Slow,
and Red means STOP, STOP, STOP!
“This Little Train” (Tune: This Old Man)
This little train, painted black
It comes chugging down the track
With a "Choo-choo; Toot-toot"
Hear the whistle blow
this little train goes chugging home.
This little car painted blue
It has seats for me and for you
With a "Choo-choo; Toot-toot"
Hear the whistle blow
this little train goes chugging home.
This little car painted yellow
It shimmies and shakes like a bowl of jello
With a "Choo-choo; Toot-toot"
Hear the whistle blow
this little train goes chugging home.
This little car, painted green
It's the fanciest train car you've ever seen,
With a "Choo-choo; Toot-toot"
Hear the whistle blow
this little train goes chugging home.
This little car; it is grey
It takes you places far away
With a "Choo-choo; Toot-toot"
Hear the whistle blow
this little train goes chugging home.
This caboose; it is red
It will take you home to bed
With a "Choo-choo; Toot-toot"
Hear the whistle blow
this little train goes chugging home.
“R-E-D” (Tune: Are You Sleeping?)
R-E-D, Red
R-E-D, Red
I can spell Red
I can spell Red
Firetrucks are Red.
Stop signs are Red too.
R-E-D, R-E-D.
“Y-E-L-L-O-W” (Tune: If You’re Happy and You Know It)
Y-E-L-L-O-W spells yellow.
Y-E-L-L-O-W spells yellow.
Like the early morning sun,
When the day has just begun,
Y-E-L-L-O-W spells yellow.
Daffodils and baby ducks are yellow.
Lemonade and scrambled eggs are yellow.
I like the smiley face that’s yellow,
He is such a happy fellow,
Y-E-L-L-O-W spells yellow.
“G-R-E-E-N” (Tune: Row, Row, Row Your Boat)
G-R-E-E-N, G-R-E-E-N
I know how to spell green, G-R-E-E-N.
Caterpillars are green,
And grasshoppers too,
I know how to spell green, G-R-E-E-N.
“X Song” (Tune: Skip To My Lou)
X's mean kisses, I like a lot
X is for x-ray and X marks the spot
X is for xylophone I like to play
X is quite special, I would say!
